NYT article on Scoliosis

It was exciting to see The New York Times print an article in the Well Blog on 5/12 on a non-surgical way to treat scoliosis. http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/05/12/hope-for-an-s-shaped-back. It's about an exercise program called the Schroth Method. The Schroth Method has been shown to reverse scoliosis. This is great news. However, the fact that there are non surgical ways to improve scoliosis is not new news. The Schroth method has been around since the 1920s. I think the real news is that the medical establishment is beginning to acknowledge that there are other ways to treat scoliosis.

There are other techniques in addition to the Schroth Method that can be effective in treating scoliosis. I remember a friend telling me about the Alexander Technique in 1983. She was very excited because she had gotten a correction of her scoliosis using it. I've personally had some great results using Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation.A recent client had a dramatic improvement of her spinal deformity.

Reading the story about the Schroth technique made me want to document the power of CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation in treating scoliosis.

I have an offer to make:

I'm offering a course of 9 treatments ,3 times a week for 3 weeks, during the month of July to people with documented scoliosis. If there is no change in your scoliosis, the treatment is free. What I want in return is the opportunity to document the process and your progress. If you are interested, my contact information is on my website.

Thank you for reading my blog.
